Most 2006-14 GM LAN radios include an AUX jack on faceplate. Over time, the aux jack may no longer function; So what do you do? Buy a new radio? Try repairing it? For those looking for a quick and long lasting solution we offer the AUX-GM4x. This cable creates an input through the XM port, (vehicle must have XM module with or without subscription). With this cable installed it is possible to connect and play portable audio devices without compromising XM subscription. To install simply connect 16-pin plug at the AM/FM radio, route and install 1/8" (3.5 mm) jack on or near dashboard and plug-in audio device. When in the mood for XM (if subscribed), unplug audio cable from jack-- its that simple--- no complicated setup or wiring. Because it uses the XM port, the factory radio jack remains functional which makes it possible to have to two aux inputs.
