Your older Ford still runs great, but the radio lack support for more attractive modern media formats most would like to have in their cars. If you are looking for the convenience of stepping into your car and jamming out to your favorite tunes, then the BTA-FRD04 is for you. The BTA-FRD04 (formerly A2D-FD4) module works in 2004-10 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury vehicles with at least one factory remote player (e.g. Satellite radio tuner or Rear Seat Entertainment) to allow streaming from Smartphone, Tablet, Kindle, laptop and more on the car system. (The factory remote player remains connected and functional). If Satellite radio subscription has expired and vehicle does not have RSE, an AUX input jack is provided to which users may connect and play other audio devices (e.g. MP3, iPod, Car play etc.). This clean solution leaves no wires on or around the dash and after initial pairing, your device automatically connects upon entering vehicle.

2. Vehicle must have a remote player: Satellite radio (active or expired subscription) and/or Rear seat entertainment.
3. Factory radios with built-in Satellite radio tuner (e.g. 2009-up Escape, Focus, Mariner) must have DVD factory option for the BTA-FRD04 to work
4. Factory Satellite radio (subscription) and/or DVD operations remain functional
