The PIO/P-POD iPod adapter cable allows you to connect iPod products to the Pioneer stereo. The PIO/P-POD converts the popular
IP-BUS connector to a dock connector. With this adapter cable installed you can connect your iPod Mini, Nano, Classic, Touch, Photo to any Pioneer Receiver with "Auxiliary input" option.. This innovation offers audio performance that is more enjoyable than substandard FM-modulated solutions that transmit audio into the FM tuner instead of the preferred accessory port connection.
Compatibility & Notes: [These requirements must be met for this part to work]
1. The PIO/P-POD fits all Pioneer iP-BUS Changer control head units
with "Auxiliary input" option.
2. Customers
must first enable the "AUX option" from within the head unit Menu otherwise the radio will not recognize the input. [see Radio manual for details]
3. The PIO/P-POD adapter cable is
6 ft. long with apple 30-pin Dock connector on one end and Pioneer
IP-BUS male connector on the other.
4.
When the PIO/P-POD is used, a changer connection is NOT possible.
5. The Pioneer radio will *NOT* control the external audio device connected to the PIO/P-POD
6. The PIO/P-POD will play and charge the iPod Mini, Nano (1G, 2G, 3G), Classic, Photo.
Does not support iPhone, Touch, Nano (4G & up).
Pioneer radios with CD Changer controls or P-BUS connector does not guarantee that the Auxiliary cable will work. The PIO/P-POD works on Pioneer Units with Auxiliary input option selectable from within the radio Menu
