While it is true that due to their lack of support for more attractive modern media formats, car stereo shops stand ready to replace the OE radio in favor or aftermarket. Modern head units may include Bluetooth, HD radio, SiriusXM etc. but did you know many of these modern features are possible from the factory radio? To keep vehicle as original possible and be able to enjoy many of these features, all you need is a smart device (e.g. Smartphone), a fully functioning CD auto changer and the new BTA-AMV1 (formerly A2D-AMV1). For the BTA-AMV1 to work as described, vehicle must have the "BASE" radio and a fully functioning CD changer to enable crystal clear playback from audio applications (e.g. Pandora, Apple music, Spotify, Deezer, SiriusXM, Waze, Podcast etc.). on the car audio system and with built-in USB charging port (5V/2A); those power hungry devices remain charged while on the road. To install, simply connect module to CD plug in luggage compartment, pair A2DP device, press "CD" button on radio and enjoy! When in the mood for CD's, simply press the Pause/Play button on remote control and operate CD changer as customary. This clean solution leaves no wires or clutter on or around the dash and is the accessory you want if looking to add Bluetooth audio streaming connectivity without altering the dash or investing in a new radio.
